Cephalonia 2010 - Bad Day for a Swim.

After a wet day with torrential rain overnight, the next morning was quite pleasant but cloudy. Relaxing after a heavy breakfast there was a bit of a kerfuffle followed by much  pointing and camera-grabbing and there was this fully-developed waterspout just off the coast near Kaminia Beach.

It appeared to stay there almost stationary for about ten minutes.  Very eerie - no noise; no wind at the Hotel.  Eventually it separated from the water and drew back up into the cloudbase.

Most impressive!
